The Councilor for Environment and Services of the City of Bullas, Juan Valera, has recently attended, together with two technicians of the Consistory, a day promoted by the General Directorate of Environment and Mar Menor in the framework of compliance with the Waste Plan of the Region of Murcia 2016-2020 on the alternatives for the collection and subsequent management of bio-waste operations.

In this Plan, measures are offered to facilitate reuse, recycling, other types of recovery and disposal of waste.

"Reduce the garbage generated by citizens and recycle 20% more, to reach 50 percent, are the main objectives to which municipalities are required to comply where it is not ruled out that we apply a new rate for waste generated" explained Councilman Valera.

On the other hand, the way of financing local entities and their evaluation has been one of the points that has generated more interest among attendees.
