Until March 27 you can see the exhibition 'Women making history' (11/03/2019)

Yesterday the photography exhibition 'Women making history' was inaugurated in the exhibition hall of the Casa de Cultura.

This tribute to the women of Bullas has been possible thanks to the close collaboration between the Department of Social Services and the Bullas Photographic Association.

In the exhibition you can see thirty women performing their functions, as diverse as possible -policies, winemakers, physiotherapists, dentists, housewives, radio announcers, teachers, etc.- and all of different ages.

"A magnificent work done by the Association's photographers," said Councilwoman Chari Martínez, who added that "today, women's capacity, work and strength is a resource that has been wasted. part of society, although we try to keep fighting to try to have a balanced distribution ".

For its part, the first Edil de Bullas, Maria Dolores Muñoz, who is also photographed in the exhibition, as the first mayor of the municipality, applauded the initiative and commented that she was happy to read slogans for the International Women's Day that said "the girls now do not want to be princesses but mayors. "

Muñoz closed the event inviting all the neighbors to see the exhibition that will be until March 27 and transmitting his desire that "the woman is what she wants to be and one day we do not have to celebrate on March 8, but we have one long way to go, that is why men and women should walk together, this society will only advance if we have the same rights, freedoms and opportunities ".

In addition, during these days you can also see the work of the users of the Cognitive Stimulation Day Center and Classroom inside the Reminiscence Workshop called "Women of our life" in which they expose the photo of a woman who has been or is important in their lives.

And a collage with the slogan "Every day is March 8" made by Salvadora Puerta and her students at the IES Diego Tortosa de Cieza, which she did during her professional internships at the Social Education level.
