Campaign against aggressions and / or sexual abuse during the San Marcos festivities (30/04/2019)

As in previous years, the Department of Social Services together with the Equality Agency and the Brigade Morada de Bullas has launched a campaign against sexual aggression and / or abuse on the occasion of the San Marcos Festival.

To present this campaign in the institutes of Colegio Amor de Dios and Los Cantos, the Equality Officer, Jose Quesada, and two members of the Morada Brigade explained the protocol to be followed whether an assault was present or if it were a victim.

To do this, they distributed some cards with interesting telephone numbers that would have to be called in those two supposed cases.

In addition, during the recess schedule the students were informed of the details of the campaign, distributed leaflets, stickers, posters and cards even visited a class at the request of a teacher.

Although the campaign is aimed at the entire population, "we want to focus mainly on young people and insist that in this type of situation there is only one culprit, the aggressor" said from the Department of Social Services adding "we think It is fundamental to stop blaming the victim, so one of the posters refers to the fact that neither clothes, nor party, nor alcohol justify a sexual assault ".

Also, leaflets will be distributed among the participants in the parade of floats and posters will be placed in various places in the municipality as well as the campaign will be spread by whatsapp and social networks with the slogans "Stop Bad Rolls is Not No" and #BullasenIgualdad.
