Last Saturday a group of volunteers worked on the development and construction of nest boxes for bats that were placed in the vicinity of the La Rafa complex.
The activity, which was part of the 'Green June' program in this month dedicated to the Environment, will also take place in the Bullas educational centers next school year.
Students will learn the importance of these animals that a single night can get to eat more than 1kg of insects during the summer.
Naturaventura El Romero was the Association responsible for imparting this activity among the 20 registered people who assembled five nest boxes and contributed their bit in the consolidation of this species in our environment.
"Bats are pillars of biodeversity and the main indicators in the balance of our ecosystem," said Councilor for the Environment, Juan Valera, who was also present on Saturday morning in La Rafa.
