The Councilor for Environment and Agriculture in the City of Bullas, Juan Valera, has requested in writing to the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura (CHS) to take into account the Consistory Bullas when preparing the Plan for the Management of Extractions of Water, as well as being an interested party in the Central Board of Users.
All this because the Governing Board of the CHS agreed that the aquifers within the municipality of Bullas are overexploited, according to statements by the President of the Basin Agency, Miguel Ángel Rodenas, and for this reason, the Plan would be drawn up and created a Central Board of Users to study how the exploitation of the aquifers will be carried out from now on, since the objective is to start the recovery of the Mula River.
"From Bullas Town Hall we will work to protect the interests of the farmers of Bullas and to guarantee a constant ecological flow at the head of the Mula river from birth," says the mayor of Environment and Agriculture.
