Last Friday was held in the auditorium of the House of Culture the award ceremony of the II Festival of Amateur Theater 'Villa de Bullas' that was held in the town between the months of January and February with theatrical companies of Murcia, Elche and Callosa de Segura.
The act, which was enlivened by the local theater company 'Maticate' with a performance in a tone of humor, was attended by Mayor María Dolores Muñoz, who together with the Councilor for Culture, Antonio José Espín, and the representatives of the jury , actresses of 'Maticate', handed out the prizes to the winners.
The distribution of prizes was as follows:
Best work endowed with € 300: "Floresta" by Virtual Grupo Teatral de Elche.
Second Best work endowed with € 150: "Instruction Manual to love and kill" of the Ditirambo Coral of Murcia.
Third Best work endowed with € 100: "Tres papás para Totó" by Colloso Teatro de Callosa de Segura.
Best Direction endowed with € 200: José Ángel Silva, Director of "Instruction Manual to Love and Murder".
Best Actor endowed with € 100: José Manuel Martínez Gutiérrez, from "Tres papás para Totó".
Best Actress endowed with € 100: María Laura Calmels, from Floresta.
Both the Councilor for Culture and the Mayor highlighted the high level of the works selected for this second Contest and congratulated all the winners.
For its part, the first Edil said that "the public of Bullas is an expert in theater and knows how to be generous in applause with actors and actresses who pass through our audience" expressing his desire that "this Amateur Theater Competition continued to be celebrated by many years, a sign that in our municipality we strongly support culture and theater. "
