As usual every May since 2007, Bull has become a new edition to celebrate the African Day of Living and Sport, which involved about fifty sub-Saharan residents in the city of Murcia.
The date was on Sunday 30 and the activities developed in the City Municipal Nicolás de las Peñas and the site of La Rafa.
The day began with a small football league practice match consisting of 20 minutes were played between several teams of participants, who joined a group of young Bullas who first wanted to join this experience.
Once the sport the group moved to La Rafa, site of food fellowship among all participants and organizers, after returning to Murcia.
With the name of African Day Living and Sport, the Association of Bullas and Kumi Kupi Africa House Murcia Diocesan Caritas in collaboration with the Department of Sports City of Bullas, have been organizing this day for this group of people from from different African countries (Senegal, Gambia, Mali, Guinea - Conakry, Ivory Coast ...) and found in an irregular situation with jobs, if any, really precarious and often poorly paid and / or exploited.
Day is becoming gradually a gap in the calendar of solidarity and our local sports while developing, year after year, on a very special set and sub-Saharan Africans based in Murcia.
This group is especially vulnerable in the context of the already difficult situation faced by illegal immigrants in our country, compounded by the economic crisis we face.
Africa House, which belongs to Diocesan Caritas is one of the few organizations trying to alleviate the difficulties faced by these people, serving as drop-in center providing shelter, food and legal assistance.
