The City of Bullas participated yesterday in a conference held in Cehegín to learn more about the European project 'Global education starts in your town'.
The Councilor for the Environment, Juan Valera, a technician of the Office of Youth Management, two representatives of the company Naturaventura El Romero and a representative of the Aquabul Association attended training sessions.
The initiative, which has been funded by the Europe Aid program of the European Commission and involving 30 localities from different European countries, is being promoted by the Autonomous Community, the Intercultural Cazalla Association and, here, in the Northwest Region for 'Casa Europa'.
The project is born so that young people between 14 and 30 years old, are aware and encourage their commitment to the problems of global development, adopt measures to end poverty, protect the planet and guarantee peace and prosperity in the world.
These being the main objectives: sustainable cities, responsible consumption and equality.
During the days of yesterday, talks and workshops were held to plan and carry out the work between the towns of Bullas, Cehegín and Calaparra, jointly, which will develop between September and October with the theme of the project in which they will employ methodologies based in principles of non-formal education and focused on the participants, oriented to dialogue and practices.
In addition, in November there will be an action that will encompass more than 100 people in these municipalities.
