The Department of Public Safety of the City of Bullas has reported that the Local Police has adhered to the Special Campaign of the Directorate General of Traffic on "Alcohol Rate and Presence of Drugs in Drivers", which will be held between days 4 and June 10, 2018.
Alcohol is present as a concurrent or trigger factor in one third of fatal accidents.
Your presence in driving depending on your rate, multiplies between 2 and 15 the risk of suffering an accident.
The only safe rate is 0.0%.
Not only is it related to greater accidents, but it also has an impact on increased mortality, as it is a factor linked to a worse prognosis in the injuries suffered.
Also, to emphasize that driving after the consumption of psychoactive substances is a frequent occurrence in Spain, cannabis (THC), cocaine, amphetamines and methamphetamines are the most frequently found substances.
Thus, the simultaneous consumption of substances, which has been demonstrated as a behavior of extreme road risk, is comparatively frequent in Spain.
The main objective of this campaign is to try to achieve a 1% drop in BAC levels in random preventive controls.
