Start a new campaign of archaeological excavations in the Roman Villa of Los Cantos de Bullas, thanks to the collaboration between the School of Archeology of the Center for Ancient World Studies (CEPOAT) of the University of Murcia and the City of Bullas, counting on the support of the Bullas Wine Route Association and the Cajamurcia Foundation.
For the second year in a row, this course is organized for students and interested people who wish to participate in this campaign and collaborate in the recovery and study of this Roman archaeological site located 2 km southeast of Bullas, studying a model firsthand of Roman settlement of rural type known as Villa.
Yesterday, all the participants were received by the Mayor María Dolores Muñoz and the Councilor of Tourism Águeda Fernández in the Plaza de España.
The first mayor wished the nearly twenty students and volunteers a happy stay in Bullas, noting that one more year "we seek to highlight and highlight an area of ​​vital importance for the municipality that helps us understand our past and history."
After the official reception, the participants in this campaign visited the historical center of Bullas, the Don Pepe House Museum, the archeology classroom, the Clock Tower, etc.

Until August 26, counting on a team from the University of Murcia, formed by five professors, they will carry out morning work at the Los Cantos field of integral training in fundamental aspects such as excavation techniques, stratigraphy, photogrammetry, topography , field drawing, etc. And in the afternoons, in a warehouse they will carry out the registration of the archaeological remains, the inventory of materials, as well as the computer management.
