The Municipal Table of Seniors, backed by the Department of Social Services and the mayor Rosario Martínez Martínez, prepares activities for World Alzheimer's Day, which as every year is celebrated on September 21.
The activities start on Thursday September 20 with "Forum of Caregivers", a talk-workshop in the Plenary Hall of Bullas City Council by the Alzheimer Association and Other Dementias "Alzhad".
The appointment will be at 7:00 p.m., where the psychologist Laura Caballero Escámez and the Social Educator Aurora Martín Vílchez will talk about the importance of emotions in dementia, both from the point of view of the affected person, as well as the caregiver.
The next day, on Friday, September 21 will take place at 11:00 am on Avda. Gran Vía (door of the Plaza de Abastos), a commemorative act in which a manifesto against Alzheimer's and different related texts will be read.
Also, there will be a release of helium balloons and putting of commemorative ties.
In this act will be exhibited "The Tree of the Memories", an artistic installation formed by a sculpture of a tree with sheets of paper in which important memories of old people are written.
Pedestrians can also write their memories and add them to the tree.
