The Department of the Environment of the City of Bullas, in collaboration with the Entretant @ s Association, has organized for this Friday at 6 pm at the Adolfo Suárez Municipal Garden an activity related to the design of custom fabric bags under the slogan: " We want to take plastics from the world.
The objective is to make citizens aware of the detrimental nature of plastic, in particular, the plastic bags that many end up in the sea and as a result the fatal consequences they cause in our oceans.
And it is that according to Greenpeace account through its website, today only 9% of all the plastic that we have produced and consumed to date at the world level has been recycled, 12% has been incinerated, and the vast majority, 79%, has ended up in landfills or in the environment.
Plastic objects can also reach the sea from landfills, by the water that flows through them.
In addition, we also find plastics in the sea that come from deliberate garbage discharges, from accidental discharges from ships, or from effluents from sewage treatment plants and wastewater treatment plants.
80% of the waste that we find in the sea comes from land, while the remaining 20% from the maritime activity.
"The idea of the activity is to make your bag the fabric of chula, personalized, and you can give the use you want either as a bag or to go to make the purchase" point out from the Association that will be responsible for carrying out the activity completely free and aimed at all audiences.
