within the framework of the municipality's SUMP]
The drafting of the Plan for Sustainable Urban Mobility (PMUS) of Bullas began in June 2018. And, although the work is still in the first phase, the City of Bullas wants to join with a first action to the European Week of Mobility (SEM).
The SEM, supported by the European Commission, takes place since 2002 every September, and unites thousands of activities organized in the hundreds of municipalities that work to raise awareness, both to policy makers and citizens, about the negative consequences of using irrational of the car in the city, both for public health and for the environment, and the benefits of using more sustainable modes of transport such as public transport, cycling and walking.
The SEM18, which takes place between the 16th and the 22nd of this month, has as motto in this edition "Combina y muevete".
Bullas's SUMP Portal has been posted since this week at http://bullas.es/ayuntamiento-abierto/plan-movilidad-urbana-sostenible/ information about what a SUMP is, what its objectives and principles are, and the importance of the citizen participation to know in detail how we move through Bullas and La Copa and what we can change to make them more friendly locations.
P
or so, a specific section is opened to make suggestions about mobility, request to be a member of the Bullas Mobility Board, dependent on the Advisory Council on Environment and Urban Planning, and fill in the brief questionnaire "How do we move?", https://goo.gl/forms/PZGR51E5yhrmcn8H3, which will remain active until September 22.
