On the occasion of the "World Breast Cancer Day", which is commemorated on October 19, the Local Board of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) yesterday organized several activities.
In the early afternoon, in the Municipal Garden Adolfo Suarez, with the collaboration of sports associations of the municipality, mini sports tournaments, skating and games, climbing wall and attractions, pedal karts, workshops and animation were held.
Shortly after, at 6:00 p.m., the joint march began, in which dozens of neighbors took part, who continued to the Plaza de España where they formed a human bond, symbolizing the pink ribbon of breast cancer.
Immediately afterwards, the talk was held by the Oncologist, David Collado.
With the auditorium of the House of Culture full, attendees in addition to listening to the voice of the specialist could learn about experiences of people who have had cancer and have overcome it, most agreeing that the important thing is the attitude when facing the disease , positivity and humor.
Humor that was not lacking when to close the act prepared from the local Board a very funny sketch.
The Mayor, María Dolores Muñoz, was present during the talk with the President of the Local Board of the AECC, Emilio Fernández.
