The Department of Culture of the City of Bullas convened in the month of December the I Contest of Local Artists, as recognized by the Councilor of the area, Antonio José Espín, "with the aim of encouraging artistic activity, as well as disseminate and give visibility to the works of art of painters and painters of Bullas and La Copa ".
Recently, by resolution by the mayor's office, it was announced that the winners of this contest were Magdalena Caballero and Mari Cruz Fernández.
Both take a prize of 200 euros.
Espin notes that "betting on art and supporting the work of local artists is important for this Government Team" adding that each year the City of Bullas will acquire two works by artists other than the municipality.
Magdalena Caballero's painting shows the natural landscape of the Mula River as it passes through Bullas, while Mari Cruz Fernández has chosen to paint the perspective of the Plaza de España where the church and the Town Hall stand out among the buildings that appear.
These paintings will form part of the Consistory's cultural heritage and will be displayed in one of the municipal offices.
