The City of Bullas, through the Department of Culture and the collaboration of the Cultural Association Villa de Bullas, Bullas Photographic Association and the Permanent Headquarters of the University of Murcia (UMU), organized for the third year in a row the third Conference of History and Patrimony of Bullas that will be developed in the auditorium of the House of Culture from 15 to 17 March.
On Friday, March 15, will be inaugurated in an act that will be attended by Mayor María Dolores Muñoz and Councilman of Culture Antonio José Espín.
The first day will feature Francisco Jesús Hidalgo, municipal archivist and assistant chronicler of Cehegín who will talk about the documentation that there is Bullas in the Historical Archive of Cehegín.
After him, the historian and member of the Villa de Bullas Cultural Association, José Luís García Caballero, arrives to explain more about San Marcos, its origin and tradition.
On Saturday the 16th, the day is extended throughout the day.
It begins at 10 with the exhibition of Juan Pedro García, anthropologist, about the collection of nineteenth-century medals of the Wine Museum, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the DOP Bullas.
Next, at 11 o'clock, Jose Antonio Melgares speaks, Official Chronicler of Caravaca de la Cruz and President of the Chroniclers of the Region of Murcia, of the Mansion of the Fuente Higuera.
After a break at 12.30, they close the day tomorrow, the talk of María José Martínez, a graduate in Art History from the UMU and Jorge Martínez, also a degree in art from the UMU, who will talk about the image of the Nazarene of Bullas .
In the afternoon the day resumes at 5:00 p.m.
with Fernando Ángel Sánchez, a graduate in Philosophy and Letters from the UMU who will delve into the Bullas of the War of Independence.
The following talk about landscape, economy and society in Bullas during the second half of the 18th century will be given by the Doctor in Geography, Salvador Gil, who will also be accompanied by Alfredo Pérez, Doctor in Human Geography at the UMU, and José Antonio Espín, predoctoral researcher at the UMU.
After them and a short break, the session concludes Pepa García, graduated in Documentation by the UMU, to talk about the building of the House of Culture.
Finally, on Sunday the 17th, the II Photo Marathon on Bullas Heritage is celebrated with the collaboration of the Bullas Photographic Association.
