The Councilor Culture and Education of the City of Bullas, Antonio José Espín, together with the charge of the Municipal Library, Juana Dolores Buendía, today presented the programming of the Day of the Book that focuses mostly its activities in the week of April 23.
Thus, for the Day of the Book, in the morning in two passes, from 10 am to 11 am and from 12 am to 1 pm, the auditorium of the House of Culture will house a special storyteller for students of Infantile and 1st and 2nd Primary. hand in hand with cultural actions.
The next day, on Wednesday, April 24, at 11 in the morning there is a masterclass on the comic by Salva Espín, illustrator and designer of Marvel for students of 6th grade and 1st grade of ESO.
In the afternoon, from 5:00 pm, there will be a storyteller with the Japanese technique of kamishibai "The sun cat" for children from 3 to 6 years old.
A free activity for which you have to register in the library.
On the 25th of April, in the morning, in the park of the Ginesa gate a literary gymkhana will be held with 3rd grade students and also in La Copa with the students of the Antonio Machado school.
Finally, on April 26 there will be a storyteller with music for the users of the Day Center and the Cognitive Stimulation Room, by the students of IES Los Cantos.
In addition, the Department of Culture and Education promotes the book competitions "Giant Book" or bookmark, as well as the III Poetry Contest "Bullas en verso" and the I Contest of children's stories.

Previously, other activities were carried out such as the cultural trip to Cartagena with readers of the library and the theatrical tale of the company El Molinillo Teatro 'La tosca tosca' that was made this past Saturday in La Copa.
Project 'Reading for the elderly'
During the presentation of the activities, the project 'Reading for older people', which comes from the Municipal Table for the Elderly, has also been made known, with the aim of encouraging reading among the elderly and contributing to the activation of the memory, stimulate attention and creativity.
As explained by the Social Affairs technician, ... volunteers will be needed to be intermediaries between the library and readers.
These volunteers will get the reading, moving in some cases to their homes, people over 65 with mobility problems, visual or otherwise who want to enjoy the benefits of reading.
The program can be started in June, before it will be announced among the population and will be working with the number of volunteers.
