The Mayor María Dolores Muñoz, and the Councilor for Agriculture and the Environment, Juan Valera, yesterday held a meeting with the President of the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura (CHS), Mario Urrea, in which the situation in which he was the mass of underground water of Bullas, both from the qualitative and quantitative point of view, remembering in this aspect that it was declared as overexploited in the Board of Government of the basin organization that was held in February 2018.
This declaration has allowed to start the recovery of the Mula River through the creation of a Central Users Board and an Extraction Ordinance Plan.
The mass of underground water of Bullas is the origin of the springs of the Fountain of the Rafa, Fuente Avilés and of the birth of the Mula river.
In this sense, the first Edil de Bullas requested information about the high levels of nitrates in the aquifers of Bullas and Bajo Quípar with the aim of carrying out measures aimed at recovering the good condition of the aquifers.
