The municipality of Bullas is ready to celebrate one of its most popular festivals: the San Marcos Festival.
This year the party moves to the weekend of May 4 and 5 due to the celebration of General Elections on April 28.
This week, the Mayor María Dolores Muñoz, and the Councilman of Celebrations, Antonio José Espín, presented the poster of the San Marcos Festivities, work, this year, of the bullfighter Ana María Gil Valverde winner of the IV contest called for the purpose.
"A cheerful poster, colorful and with allegories to the garden and our traditions" was said in the presentation.
As for the programming, during that weekend the main activities are carried out, although on Friday, May 3, at 11.30 am in the Plaza de España, there will be an intergenerational workshop in which the students of 3 ° of Primary of the educational centers of Bullas and the Glass will be able to know the traditions of this celebration with great rootedness in the locality.
The next day, the day begins with the official welcome of the folk groups participating in the 37th edition of the Villa de Bullas National Folklore Festival, which will take place in the Plaza de España at 5.30 pm which will include: Pan Dance Group and Guindas (Palencia), Folk Group Ntra. Mrs. of the Hope of the Peña Huertana La Rana (Murcia) and the Folkloric Group Virgen del Rosario of the Peña Huertana La Uva (Bullas).
At the end there will be an orchard mass in the parish Ntra. Sra. Del Rosario.
Before, on Saturday morning from 10.30 am sports activities such as zumba, orientation races, racquet sports, zip line, etc. will be carried out.
And, there, in the place of La Rafa, the Mini-Fair of the Top of San Marcos will be held one more year with popular prices.
On Sunday, May 5, the procession and blessing of the fields will be celebrated in La Murta starting at 8 o'clock in the morning.
Afterwards, the great parade of floats will start, which will start on the Avenida de Murcia and end at La Rafa.
Dozens of floats, not to mention the officers of the festeras clubs, are expected to participate in this multitudinous parade where Huerta motives are very present.
At the end of the afternoon, around 19.45, the prizes of the float competition, the contest of balconies and windows 'Bullas in spring' and the second showcase contest of San Marcos will be presented.
The musical brooch will be put by the Platinum Orchestra, which will perform with free entrance on the stage located on the La Rafa football field.
