The district of La Copa de Bullas celebrates its holidays in honor of Our Lady of Consolation and Our Lady of Help from August 30 to September 3.
During those five days the neighbors celebrate, almost without rest, a program full of fun and religious events.
Friday is the well-known "night of the crumbs" and with the parade of the rocks and the reading of the proclamation, this year by the neighbor, Ginés Guirado Espín, bank worker, faithful defender of the traditions of his people, will give the starting gun.
After an intense night of dancing with the Platinum Orchestra, one of the most anticipated moments for young people is when the water target will begin early on Saturday morning at 7 o'clock.
From the balconies and in each portal, with buckets and even hoses, water is thrown to all the people who dare to participate in the parade enlivened by the band 'Los Peques'.
On Saturday from 4 pm the clubs dress up and show their ingenuity in the parade of floats.
Upon completion the floral offering is made to the patrons.
Already at night, the coronation of queens and more music with the orchestra 'Athenas' takes place.
On Sunday, the day of the Virgin of Consolation is celebrated with a mass at noon and an afternoon procession in her honor.
In between, around 6 pm there will be a monologue by the humorist, Ismael Galán, in the Plaza Juan Pablo II.
The day ends with the fireworks castle to give way to the 'Vendetta' orchestra.
Arrived on Monday, the party moves to the area known as 'La Caña'.
There, the neighbors gather to spend the day and eat a great paella.
In addition, for the little ones there will be inflatables throughout the day.
At nightfall, after the big barbecue awaits the concert of the premises 'The Cup' on the track of the covered park.
The last day, on Tuesday, the protagonist is acquired by the patron Ntra. Mrs. of Perpetual Help.
Also, with a mass and procession so that the faithful can venerate the Virgin.
In the afternoon, popular games, lifelong games such as tape races, sack races, etc. are held.
Finally, at night, the traca puts an end to the festivities, although the party ends when the music of the Kacike Orchestra ends that will put the finishing touch on the square Juan Pablo II.
So that the residents of Bullas can go to the Fiestas de La Copa without having to take the car and not worry about it, the Department of Celebrations of the City of Bullas has made available an uninterrupted taxi service for one euro from 22.30 until 8.30 in the morning.
The place of departure is from Francisco Puerta González Conde Avenue and return from the La Copa bus stop.
