The general director of the Tourism Institute, Francisco Bernabé, together with the mayor of Bullas, María Dolores Muñoz, and the president of the Regulatory Council of the Bullas Protected Designation of Origin, Francisco Carreño, today presented the 2019 edition of the Bullas Wine Festival , which will be held from September 20 to 30.
This celebration will include tastings, concerts, guided tours, raffles, exhibitions, conferences, talks and all kinds of activities related to wine in the most emblematic places, squares and wineries in the town.
Regarding the Bernabé Wine Festival, he said that “it will value the wines of this Protected Designation of Origin, the locality and all those who work directly or indirectly in this sectorâ€.
In addition, he stressed “the determined commitment of the regional government to enhance wine tourism, a holiday modality preferred by more and more tourists who decide to enjoy an activity that respects the environment and has great capacity to create synergies with cultural, rural tourism or health, â€he said.
In the first four months of 2019, the three wine routes in the Region (Bullas, Jumilla and Yecla) received 23,238 winemakers, 21 percent more than those registered during the same period of 2018.
