Find out about the weather situation and the state of the roads, take precautions, check the vehicle and follow the Traffic recommendations.

• Check the tires, the antifreeze and the brakes.

In addition, care must be taken to fill the gas tank and carry chains.

• It is useful to bring warm clothes and a mobile phone with spare battery and / or car charger.

If you are stuck in the snow, it is advisable to remain in the car, with the heating on, renewing the air every so often, and ensure that the exhaust pipe is not clogged to prevent gases from entering the interior of the vehicle.

• If you remain isolated and need help, do not try to resolve the situation yourself, try to report this fact and, unless the situation is unsustainable, wait for assistance.

In strong winds

• It is advisable to secure doors, windows and all those objects that may fall on public roads and move away from cornices, trees, walls or buildings under construction or cranes that can be detached.

Also, it is advisable to refrain from climbing scaffolding without adequate protection measures.

• If you are driving, take precautions, especially at the exit of tunnels, overtaking and crossing with heavy vehicles on two-way roads.
