The Mayor, María Dolores Muñoz and the Councilor for Municipal Services and Works, Juan Valera, held a meeting recently with the President of the Irrigation Community of 'Fuente de La Copa' and 'Casa Don Pedro', Isidoro Espín, for address issues related to this community.
Espín announced to the first Edil the Project that they plan to undertake, with the prior approval of the Assembly, to install photovoltaic solar panels for pumping water from a well to the reservoir, with the consequent energy savings.
Said Project consists of a photovoltaic solar installation isolated from the electricity grid to supply the energy necessary for the supply of a submersible pump of 34 KW of power, already installed, and currently powered by electricity from the grid.
Both the Mayor and the Councilor expressed their support and total collaboration to the Project.
"Betting on clean and inexhaustible energies such as renewable energies is a safe value" they say from the City Council that they say "there is a social work regarding the care of the environment, an investment in social and territorial cohesion where La Copa enjoys some agricultural and natural resources of great value and that we all must and must put our utmost effort to be able to offer them to citizens within the sustainability model. "
The Community of Irrigators of La Copa, which currently comprise 160 community members, is made up of 76 hectares, distributed in the municipality of Bullas.
