The Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia on Saturday published the names of the winners of the Sustainable Development relevant to its eighth edition.
In the section on Environmental Education Awards is the bullero, Juan José Martínez López, winner ex aequo for his school project of renewable energy, permaculture and eco-construction located in the municipality of Cehegin.
The project known as 'Virere' aims to bring together rural and sustainable tourism with theoretical and practical training available to all people and ages, in a simple and visual way, revaluing native biodiversity and integrating lore with environmentally innovative international trends respectful in energy, architecture, agriculture, waste recycling, water treatment, ecology and mobility.
With these awards, the Ministry of Water, Agriculture and Environment publicly recognize the efforts of companies, institutions, organizations and groups in the region in terms of sustainable development, and in turn give out those success stories and ideas can be a reference for others.
