Bullas City Council, through the departments of Health and Environment has launched a campaign of canine identification in order to, one, encourage microchipping and, two, make a municipal census of dogs and their respective owners .
The microchip is an electronic animal identification system, the implementation process has to carry out a veterinarian.
The capsule containing the chip is inserted into the animal's body up to the neck, being completely harmless to the dog.
Each chip stores a code of numbers that would become his DNI.
"Identifying dogs and other animals to prevent dropouts and abuse and theft, is one of the objectives of the campaign that allows any lost dog can return as soon as possible with his family," say local sources.
To create a municipal census pet the animal owner shall submit a form with the dog, the owner and veterinary primer on the Municipal Register of the City.
The campaign to sense your dog and implanting the microchip, if not already, has started today, with the publication of a proclamation signed by the Mayor, and ends on May 31.
During that period collaborating veterinary clinics offer a discount of implementing the chip.
The Consistory will be informed of the campaign for social networks and media.
If in the period between June 1 and December 31 of this year the local police notes that your dog is not wearing chip will be communicated to the owner who has a month to censarlo and put the chip, otherwise you may be fined with penalties ranging from 50 to 500 euros.
