The Mayor, María Dolores Muñoz, and the Director General of Water, Andres Martinez, visited the works of the industrial water treatment plant (WWTP) for in situ the progress of implementing them.
The wastewater treatment plant in which Community has invested more than four million euros, financed 80 percent by the Cohesion Fund of the EU, will have a treatment capacity of 6,500 cubic meters of water a day and will benefit irrigators the town with a system that will ensure optimal water quality for irrigation.
"These works come to complete a General Plan of cleansing and purifying at regional level which allows progress on purification and reuse of water, reusing and refining those of those smaller nuclei that are not yet connected to this general system debug" He noted the director General of Water.
So the reused water achieved a higher than required by Community legislation quality.

The visit to the treatment plant were also present the council of Agriculture and Environment, Juan Valera, City Council technicians and technicians from the company responsible for the execution of works.
