Last Friday the mayor of Bullas, Maria Dolores Muñoz, received the InfoParticipa appreciation for the effort that the city of Bullas is making in improving transparency and quality of information.
The event, held at the Las Claras Cultural Centre of Murcia, was chaired by the coordinators of InfoParticipa national project of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, ​​Amparo Moreno and Martha Corcoy, and the coordinator in the region of Murcia, Rocio Zamora, University of Murcia.
The president of the Federation of Municipalities of the Region of Murcia, Joaquin Hernandez, was responsible for closing the act.
The InfoParticipa project is an interactive tool that has been promoting the Laboratory of Journalism and Communication Plural Citizenship of the Autonomous University of Barcelona since 2012 to promote transparency and quality of information from local authorities.
Using this tool the transparency of municipal websites is evaluated through compliance rate of 52 indicators.
The current version of the tool has been developed with the support of two R & D + I projects funded by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness.
The awards given at the event were: the InfoParticipa seal, which is considered the highest honor, was given to municipalities with a percentage of compliance with the above indicators 90%: Cartagena (100%), Sewer (96%) , Lorquí (94%) and San Pedro del Pinatar;
the InfoParticipa mention was awarded to Las Torres de Cotillas and Mula (both with 84.62%);
InfoParticipa and recognition of the efforts in improving transparency fell to the consistory of Bullas (69%), Cieza (61%), White (59.62%), Torre Pacheco (59.62%) and Calasparra (52% ).
