Yesterday, in an event held at the Wine Museum, the European project 'Life Sarmiento' was presented, in which the Bodega del Rosario participates as a partner, together with the companies 'Microgaia Biotech' and 'Eurovértice'.
The project, which will last four years, will be subsidized by the European Union and aims to prevent the burning of the vine shoots, transforming them into compost so that they can be used as fertilizer and improve soil conditions, which will benefit grape production .
With Life Sarmiento, also supported by the Bullas Protected Designation of Origin Regulatory Council, the Bullas Wine Route Association and the Bullas Town Hall, the aim is to reduce the climatic impacts caused by burning of shoots by replacing it with more sustainable and beneficial practices For the climate.
The direct advantages for partners participating in the field trials will be to obtain free information on the condition of the soil of the plot, as well as on the nutrient content of the plant, as well as to know the yield of the land in terms of quantity and Quality of production.
