Laura Martínez, a sixth-grader at the Arlas de Bullas Primary School, Laura Martínez, has been one of the regional award winners in the 'Grow in Security' program, promoted by the Institute for Occupational Safety and Health.
This type of programs have been developed since 2004 and its main objective is to disseminate among primary and secondary school students the fundamental concepts of prevention, so that both now and in the future when they are incorporated To the labor market, are aware of the advantages of a thorough knowledge of the action to be taken, of observing the risks that may arise, so as to eliminate them at their origin or prevent them from being updated in casualties, by taking preventive measures .
The event, which was held in Murcia, was attended by the Director General of Labor Relations and Social Economy, Leopoldo Navarro Quílez, the Director of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, Mª Ángeles Villanueva, and in representation of Bullas, attended the councilman Of Education in the Town Hall, Antonio José Espín, and by the Center its director, José Antonio Martínez.
In this edition they participated a total of 3,823 students of 23 municipalities of the Region of Murcia.
The work of Laura Martínez is one of the ten winning works that were selected by the jury from among the 99 selected as finalists and her drawing won a tablet prize.
