In the framework of the Regional Breast Cancer Prevention Program of the Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the Bullas City Council and the Spanish Association against Cancer, the municipality will receive in January a mobile unit that will be located next to the Health Center for To perform x-rays of the breasts of women between the ages of 50 and 69 in order to diagnose a cancer in time.
Early detection, which is performed by mammography every two years to this range of women, decreases the mortality from this disease and increases the quality of life of those who suffer.
In the municipality of Bullas, the participation rate during the 2014-2015 biennium was 79.7%;
While the regional participation rate is 71.1%.
Thus, by letter to 1054 women, between 50 and 69 years, from 9 to 24 January.
From the Department of Health indicate that any lady who does not receive a letter of citation before January 8, 2017, should contact their Health Center or office to request an appointment.
