Councilor for Health Mati Guillén attended last Monday the call of the Ministry of Health seeking the support of all municipalities in the Region to embroider coordinated European strategy on innovation applied to healthy aging, with the main target for the year 2020 To increase quality of life expectancy by two years.
The Minister Encarna Guillén presided over the meeting with representatives of the 45 municipalities to work "in a comprehensive and coordinated way in promoting healthy habits and prevention of disease with the ultimate goal that Murcia can live longer and better."
This Regional Coalition, which is joined by the City Council of Bullas through the Department of Health, works for innovation in active and healthy aging and is made up of more than forty entities, including public administrations, academic institutions, societies, professional colleges , Patient and consumer associations, and businesses.
The main channels of action of the regional consortium focus mainly on the prescription and adherence to medical treatments;
Personalized health care;
Integration of socio-health care in chronic diseases with the inclusion of remote supervision;
Development of solutions to increase the autonomy and quality of life of the elderly;
Encourage physical activity and healthy lifestyles;
As well as introducing solutions to prevent falls or innovation in buildings, cities and intelligent environments for advanced ages, among others.
