The Union of Cooperatives of Associated Work of the Region (UCOMUR) celebrated last Saturday the World Day of Cooperativism with a gala in which delivered the Rainbow Awards that, on this occasion, two of these awards went to the neighbors of Bullas on cooperativist Lázaro Pérez Béjar and priest Joaquín Sánchez.
To accompany these neighbors of the municipality, the act was attended by the Mayor of Bullas, María Dolores Muñoz, the Councilor for Education and Culture, Antonio José Espín, and the pedáneo of La Copa, María Espín.
In addition, the City of Caravaca de la Cruz were also awarded;
the Toys Dino cooperative;
the Deputy Minister of Finance and Employment of the Community of Madrid, Miguel Ángel García;
and also in the counselor of Employment, Universities and Business, Juan Hernández Albarracín.
During the awards ceremony, the President of UCOMUR, Juan Antonio Pedreño, and the President of the Community, Fernando López Miras, praised the strength of the regional cooperative movement, a sector that already generates in the Region about 20,000 jobs and only in the first nine months of this year has created 1,587 new jobs.
