It is a sectoral body for citizen participation that serves as a specific space for the development of children's and adolescents' participation, active in the life of the municipality of Bullas.
That is, a mechanism of collaboration among children, adolescents and adults in municipal policies and those issues that directly or indirectly affect children and adolescents.
The Council that will be chaired by the Mayor, María Dolores Muñoz, is composed of the councilors of Education, Citizen Participation, Youth, Social Services and Environment, as well as a representative of each political party (PSOE, PP, IU-Verdes, VxB), children and adolescents representatives between 10 and 16 years old, a youth technician, two AMPAS representatives, one from a public school and another from the public school, two representatives of educational teams, as well as one from the public and another of the concerted, a representative of Social Services and an agent of the Local Police.
The meetings will be convened from time to time with an ordinary character, and extraordinary sessions may be held, whenever necessary.
The decisions adopted in the working groups of children and adolescents may be heard by the Council so that, where appropriate, formally present to the municipal bodies the initiatives and proposals that they consider.
The participation of the children and adolescents of the municipality is based on and inspired by the normative contents of the rights described in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948, in the United Nations Declaration of Rights of the United Nations of 1959, in article 39.4 of the Spanish Constitution of 1978, and in the Convention of Rights of the child of 1989 of United Nations ratified by Spain.
