Yesterday, the official inauguration of the XI DOP Bullas Exhibition was held at the Wine Museum, an event organized by the Bullas Protected Denomination of Origin Regulatory Council and with the collaboration of the Bullas City Council.

The main objective of the event, as pointed out by the President of the Regulatory Board of the Denomination of Origin Bullas, Francisco Carreño, is to promote the wines covered under this quality label and to make known the new wines of the wineries: Balcona, Carrascalejo, Monastrell, Rosario, Fernando Carreño Peñalver, Hydria, San Isidro, Tercia de Ulea, Lavia and La del Terreno.

From the City of Bullas, the Mayor, María Dolores Muñoz, pointed out that "our DO covers a wine whose quality and characteristics are fundamentally due to the geographical environment in which it is produced, in which it is processed, processed and packaged", adding that "the wine growers, the producers who take part in it, commit themselves to maintain the quality of the elaborated product, so that the consumer is guaranteed not only a level of quality, but also specific and unrepeatable characteristics that a product does not possess similar produced in another region or with another raw material ".

The Autonomous Community supports the diffusion of Bullas Denomination of Origin wines, through a line of specific aids for the Regulatory Councils, thanks to which these and other promotional activities can be subsidized.

This was explained by the Director General of Agrarian Funds and Rural Development, Carmen Sandoval.

The event was also attended by the President of the Wine Route, Toñi Fernández, members of the Municipal Corporation, mayors and councilors of other municipalities of the Northwest Region, winemakers, restaurateurs as well as neighbors of Bullas and surroundings.

Within the program of the Show, also highlights the Quality Contest of the wines of today, where a group of expert winemakers in a blind tasting award the best vintages.

These awards give prestige throughout the national territory and are delivered at a gala that takes place tonight at the restaurant "El Castillico" in Bullas.
