The Puertas de Castilla Cultural Center of Murcia hosted yesterday the extraordinary awards of ESO and Bachillerato, corresponding to the 2016-2017 course, given by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, María Robles.
In total, of the 22 diplomas that were awarded, of these, nine were in the Extraordinary Awards category of ESO and 13 for the Extraordinary Baccalaureate Awards category.
Among the winners was the high school student of the IES Los Cantos de Bullas María Fernández García who was surrounded by her family and, also, the Mayor María Dolores Muñoz and the Director of the Ascensión Blaya Center who did not want to miss this event.
The 22 awarded students received a diploma.
Also, at 13 Bachillerato were given a nominative heel worth 700 euros and Secondary a copy of an illustrated edition of 'The Little Prince'.
For the Mayor this recognition to María Fernández García demonstrates the effort and dedication she puts into her studies, congratulating her for it.
For his part, Robles said that these awards "are a driving factor for the improvement of the system and for the promotion of quality education."
Obtaining these awards allows students to attend the calls for national awards for academic performance in ESO and Baccalaureate, organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports.
