This week, the Mayor of Bullas, María Dolores Muñoz, together with the councilors of Urbanism and Public Services, Juan Pedro Muñoz and Juan Valera, respectively, visited the Government Delegate in the Commonwealth of Tabilla Canals, Adolfo Gallardo.
Among the numerous topics that were discussed in the meeting, the request made on the table by the Buller Consistory stands out for an improvement in the connection of the tanks and water distribution rings in Bullas.
Since, at present, the deposit of 5,000m3 is connected to the old ones of the Commonwealth from which the population is supplied.
The problem comes when you have to raise water to reach the higher areas, such as the Barrio Nuevo, and with the particularity that in summer, the high water consumption means that in these areas the water pressure drops.
Also, the construction of a reserve deposit for the hamlet of La Copa was requested, since when there are repair or maintenance works in the channel of the Tabilla its neighbors suffer water cuts.
On the other hand, asked Adolfo Gallardo for the water forecasts for the current hydrological year for human supply, he pointed out that it will be necessary to incorporate more desalinated water into the system.
In this sense, from the City Council points out that despite the recent rains, a year is expected where the water savings must continue so that municipalities that do not have contributions of the transfer or desalination see guaranteed supply.
