Bullas City Council has finalized the participatory budgets for the year 2018. After the days of on-site voting have been made public what will be the eight projects that will be executed with the 45,000 euros for this need are reserved from the General Budget.
The process began last February 23 and has required around two months to collect the proposals of the citizens, select the proposals that were going to be put to a vote and to carry out the online and face-to-face voting processes.
As stated in the operating bases, the process has been open to the participation of all people who live, work, feel and have an interest in improving Bullas.
It was not necessary to be registered in the municipality or be of legal age.
The only conditions required of the voters were to be more than fourteen years old and to deposit only one vote.
Adding in-person and deposited through the Internet, 916 votes have been registered, in which the participants, according to their preferences, could score from one to five a maximum of five proposals from a single area, which they chose (Bullas or La Copa), resulting in a total of 760 votes in Bullas and 156 in La Copa. It is noteworthy that compared to the total number of votes in the first edition of the participatory budgets last year, which was 360, this year the number of participants has increased markedly.
The game of 45,000 euros of the Participatory Budgets 2018 was distributed with 32,400 euros for Bullas and 12,600 euros for La Copa. The projects chosen in Bullas have been the extension / installation of shaded areas in the playgrounds of the kindergarten and primary schools Township;
a proposal for the recovery of cinema in Bullas;
the installation of a multisport park;
the energy improvement of the El Castellar school heating installation;
and a series of first aid workshops.
With its 12,600 euros, La Copa has chosen the construction of a lookout in Peña Rubia;
the arrangement of Parra Street and the final part of Paul VI Street;
and the acquisition of diverse urban furniture for the beautification of La Copa.
