The Director General of Planning, Evaluation and Environmental Control, Francisco Espejo, today visited the construction of sealing and landscape restoration of landfill construction and demolition of the town of Bullas, already in its final phase.
Espejo said that with the completion of these works, which involves an investment of 455,700 euros, "Gradient space is removed and restored the site for public use."
The works have involved the stabilization of the slopes of this landfill, has also built a retaining wall along the adjacent road, and a network of ditches and drainage channels that facilitate the disposal of surface runoff, leading them to natural drainage points of the terrain to avoid erosion.
It has also been conditioning and level the surface of the platform to prevent accumulation of water and prevent their infiltration into the landfill.
The final phase will consist of the covering material and clay loam soil.
Then there will be an organic amendment provision of compost and tilling and planting with a mixture of herbaceous and shrub seeds.
The proceedings cover an area of 25,000 m2, which have removed 48,000 m3 of debris and have contributed 20,000 m3 of earth.
