The works have included slope stabilization, construction of a retaining wall next to the adjacent road and a network of ditches and drains.
The purpose is to facilitate the evacuation of water from surface runoff, leading to natural drainage points and avoid land erosion.
It has also been conditioning and level the surface of the deck to prevent water accumulation and prevent their infiltration into the landfill.
The last phase of the project involved the covering material and clay loam soil, enriched with compost and then have taken steps tilling and sowing seeds with a mixture of grasses and shrubs.
The director general, Maria Teresa Navarro, said that these works have allowed "the recovery of this space for public use, just as was done in landfill waste and demolition of the building located in the towns of Yecla, Jumilla and Abarán. "
