On the occasion of the nearby holiday season, the Zacatín held on Sunday welcomed the holidays with a very endearing, sweet were prepared as "Mantecao" sandwich cookies, rolls, warm ... for subsequent sampling, while the environment of the Old Town Square and the Castle could taste typical dishes of local cuisine as "Garlic Flour" and all the carols are among the first of the year.
In this context, and for the past 10 years several baskets sorteron El Zacatín handicrafts, sweets, cheese, pickles, sausages, wines DO Bullas, decorative wrought iron, wood, ceramics, glass, stained glass, textile accessories, felt, leather, clay, ... and much more.
On this occasion baskets have gone to Seville, Andujar (Jaen) and Archena, the latter shared with Pliego and Murcia.
And as in every edition, the turnout to the Market has been a spectacular success, throughout the morning, thousands and thousands of visitors and / or tourists, of whom 90% are regional, national and / or foreign, have enjoyed the good work of the Market The Zacatín, the first of the Region of Murcia, and in January 2012 comes of age.
Also on this occasion, Plaza of Spain, was held the 5 th Fair of Christmas candy, which have helped local bakeries.
