Bullas City Council concerned about climate changes that are happening and determined to prevent the public and the local economy of greater risk, attempts to define a local adaptation strategy against climate change, participating since 2010 in the ACT Project "Adaptation to Climate Change in Time "in the LIFE + Programme of the European Union.
To achieve this goal is in our region and the whole of Spain in the first example of local action to adapt to the effects of climate change.
Therefore, on Saturday February 4 Bullas municipality celebrating the "Day ACT", a journey which starts in the morning at 9.30 am at the Cultural and ends at 18.00 at the Museum of Wine in the researchers and technicians from the ACT project will attempt to answer the question: What will Climate Change to Bullas and how to respond or adapt to it to prevent and reduce risks and difficulties?.
First begin by presenting the project technical director, Marco Cardinaletti.
Then the person in charge of explaining climate change and its impact locally will be Isabel Costa, which precede Victoria Jumilla Francisco Department of Public Works responsible for Environment and Climate Change in the Region.
Finally, take the turn-taking in charge of the Department of Adaptation Strategies of the Spanish Office of Climate Change, Alfonso Gutiérrez Teira.
The necessary actions to change our habits and ways of life and work can be done well only if done in conjunction with citizens and businesses Bullas, because it takes ideas and the conviction that everything has a real success in the "Day ACT ".
