The Monitoring Committee of the Social Pact for the Environment, chaired by the secretary general of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water, Francisco Moreno, elected in June 2011 to the winners of the fourth edition of the "Sustainable Development Awards," which distinguish companies, institutions and groups that have made environmental efforts beyond the limits prescribed by law.

Among the winners of this edition is the City of Bullas, who was the winner of the "Initiatives to adapt to the impacts of climate change", for the work that has been developed for the preparation of Local Adaptation Plan Climate Change as part of a European project LIFE ACT.

At the awards ceremony, chaired by the Minister of Presidency, Manuel Campos, attended by the mayor of Bullas, Peter Small, will be on Thursday 12 April at 10.30 am in the auditorium of the Museum of Fine Arts of Murcia.
