The Bullas Wine Museum has received an important collection of parts and tools that were used in the past for harvesting grapes and making wine.
Yesterday, the donation was materialized with the signing of the agreement between the City of Bullas, stamped by the Mayor, Pedro Chico, and the individual donor, Renée Josine Fortuin.
Renée Fortuin, of Dutch origin, living in a property located in the town of Mula where he found the pieces that from now on become the property of the City and to serve on the other exhibits in the museum's warehouse.
The donor has acknowledged that since the first time I visited the museum several years ago, was pleasantly surprised and thought the place was ideal to hold and display these pieces.
Therefore, following discussions with the Director of the Museum, Salvador Martinez, decided to make a donation.
The collection, which will be renamed "Renée J. Fortuin Collection" consists of: a large press double body, nineteen vintage baskets, a stemmer table cribón or esparto and various tools, all serve to enrich the contents of the Museum Wine, thereby facilitating further research, dissemination and preservation of cultural heritage existing wine in our region.
Thus, the Mayor thanked Renee Bullas Fortuin have chosen "the museum and no other" and stressed that "the pieces are superbly maintained," it will be responsible workers of the Wine Museum.
