This morning the mayor of Bullas, Peter Guy, along with the User Community "Zorro", held a meeting with the Director General of Irrigation and Rural Development, Julio Bernal, in order to study the possibility to qualify for aid for the improvement of irrigation modernization and consolidation of the Region of Murcia.

Bernal has said it will next year, around March, will be announced the call for aid from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) referred to in the Rural Development Programme in the Region of Murcia 2007-2013 .

This fund helps to improve the competitiveness of agriculture and forestry, environment and landscape and the quality of life in rural areas and promoting diversification of the rural economy.
