The exhibition hall of the House of Culture hosts from October 19 to November 11, the exhibition "The first painters" of Juan Lopez del Toro.
The Mulenen collects "exact copies" of the cave paintings of some deposits near the northwestern region as "La Risca" and "The Canaica" Moratalla, "Cave Smoke" in Cehegín or "Milano" in Mula, to further afield, such as the famous caves of Altamira.
The great passion for the mountain and archeology del Toro put in contact with the rock art, that he wanted to "teach the paintings of the oilfield Canaica Calar some people with mobility problems" and that he thought that "the best way to do would be making copies of them. "
To make these paintings has used iron oxide, subjecting it to different processes in search of different colors that now comprise the Arco Rock Art of the Mediterranean, using the method called experimental archeology.
Speaking to Radio municipal Bullas, the Councillor for Culture, Francisca Caballero, has said that "it is a great idea to bring to the people such art sometimes inaccessible" and invited everyone, especially to schools, to visit the exhibition on rock art to be found in the cave walls.
