The Councilman on Public Safety, Espin Marvels has reported that local police Bullas has joined the campaign "Respect red lights", promoted nationally by the Directorate General of Traffic (DGT).
From today until Sunday 28 October intensify surveillance agents on drivers who pass through the crossings of traffic lights regulating populations.
According to the DGT, last year occurred on urban roads of our country 806 injury accidents in which the offense committed by the driver was not meeting the traffic light signal indications, with 4% of fatalities attributable to the this cause.
From Local Police warn that failure to stop at a red light is a serious offense contained in the Law on Traffic, Motor Vehicles and Road Safety is a punishable by a fine of 200 euros and lost 4 points for the driver in the case of motor vehicles.
