On Friday, the Councillor for Equality and Women, Maria Antonia April, accompanied by the Mayor, Pedro Chico and Agent Equality, Maria Dolores Lopez, they handed over the prizes to the three winners in the contest I "Art for Equality and Gender Non-Violence ".
Thus, it took for closed events scheduled in the week dedicated to the commemoration of November 25, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
The first prize went to Luis Canovas Martinez de Murcia, whose asymmetrical composition in which a woman looks at us with pleading eyes earned him 200 euros prize.
The second prize went to local artist Martin Alba Navas for his work in which he draws hands differentiated by color firmly holding a baby that is calm.
This prize is worth $ 100.
The third prize also went to an artist of Bullas, namely, Francisco Sánchez López, who made a sculpture of a hand that stands firm offering a bouquet of flowers, conveying that the best use can be given to our hands, is to share and offer.
For this sculpture took 50 euro prize.
After the awards ceremony, the Mayor noted positively that "today more women who report" highlighting "the important work of the specialized centers for the care of women victims of gender violence," which are known as CAVI.
On the other hand, showed that "throughout the whole year should engage in these features to remind society that gender violence is absolutely unacceptable and intolerable situation."
All works have participated in the contest will remain on display until December 2 in the exhibition hall.
