The Department of Culture has reported that the philologist classical and doctor of the University of Murcia in the area of ​​Greek, Ana Maria Jimenez Sanchez, will give a series of lectures colloquium dedicated to mythology and astrology, Saturdays from 12 January to 2 February.
This is a five talks in which we will try to answer questions such as: What is the origin of astronomy and astrology?, Who are the major Greco-Roman gods, What planets are related to them?,? Who, according to mythology, the Big Dipper and the Little Dipper?, How did Perseus, Andromeda and Cassiopeia constellations to be run, what are the thirteen zodiac signs?
What myth that hides behind each?.
The first of the lectures will discuss the origins of astrology and astronomy.
The following, on behalf of the major planets and heavenly bodies (sun and moon) and myths are related.
Also, discuss the major constellations (Ursa Minor, Ursa Major, Cassiopeia, Andromeda and Perseus) its location, shape and mythical origin.
And finally, in the dialogue about the origin of the horoscope and the twelve signs of the zodiac.
The talks are to take place in the hall of the Municipality of Bullas 17.30 with free admission to fill seats.
