The past 12 and March 13, Bullas was visited by international partners Project ACT (Adaptation to Climate Change in Time).
Representatives came from Ancona (Italy), ISPRA (Institute for Protection and Environmental Research), the Municipality of Patras (Greece), and Project Director, Marco Cardinaletti.
In this field visit, the partners knew the works that have been done in Bullas.
To do this, held a meeting with the local group, made up of technicians of the City, the Chief Regulator and DO Bullas Wine Route Association.
They also visited the solar power plants in the municipality, the wastewater treatment plant, meaning its use is given to water for agriculture, and were in two wineries that participated in a separate but related project environment on reduction of CO2 to the atmosphere.
A highlight of the visit was the contact with the students of the College Love of God, winning first prize in the international competition 'ACT Change'.
The director, Mario Cardinaletti, after seeing the winning video was "very happy" and that "through this video we can convey some of the findings of this project to the youngest because climate change is a problem now but mostly it will affect future generations, "adding that" it is important to involve children in this regard. "
Ultimately, there was talk of organizing a Sustainability Fair to be held in Florence.
There should close the European project on the study of adaptation to climate change.
