Councilman IU-Greens in the city of Bullas, Manuel Escámez, today denounced the state of "abandonment and neglect" Artero public school and announced that their training will undertake a comprehensive action to improve the situation of the center.
Escámez, who visited the school a few days ago by the President of the Association of Parents of Students (AMPA), José Antonio Ruiz, said that the facilities are in a "dire" conditions.
"Upon entering the center, the poor state of sports facilities, which are asphalt, with broken and no security measures baskets is observed, while the floor is littered with potholes or raised by the roots of trees and walls the rear patio area are full of mold. "
The mayor explained that the three sources of the school, one is deprecated because it is unhealthy, as the water ran along the drain;
another is a tap on the outlet wall lacking, so that the water ends up in the ground, and the other has an "unfortunate aspect" and the animals drink from it.
The center "smells like urine" because the City has deleted housekeeping midmorning and "urine builds up everywhere."
"In the toilets you can check all urine on the floor and lose water damaged urinals, a toilet that has long been broken and nothing for students to wipe their hands," he added.
Another shortcoming is, according to IU-Greens, there is no source inside the school, so the children have to go to the courtyard to drink water or do it directly from the sinks.
In this situation, Escámez has criticized the government team "presumed" the recent settlement of windows and blinds the center, a performance he described as "sloppy" because "in reality only the windows that are visible from the street will be changed" .
"The school needs a comprehensive action, starting with the cover change, and no patches have only been performed with a propagandistic action who sells smoke and has no priority further than sitting on the couch," he added .
